An original layout for a unique collection.

Switzerland's first Ski Museum opened in 2023. The museum showcases the remarkable collection acquired over the years by curator and co-founder Laurent Donzé. "It all started when I went skiing at school. Very quickly, I started competing and I understood that equipment played a key role. As a teenager, I would cut up skis to find out which ones glided better. It was like a spiral of collecting," recalls this passionate cross-country skier, according to RTS.

Over the years, Laurent Donzé has amassed some 3,000 pairs of skis and 300 pairs of poles, as well as boots, helmets, bibs and bindings.

Under the architectural direction of Atelier Oï, Maison Wider created an original layout including podiums, stands and display cases, wall coverings and floor coverings. The scenography evokes the snow-capped mountains of the Swiss Alps, enhancing the presentation of this unique collection.
