The renovation project was entrusted to Zurich-based architects Ramseier & Associates, who emphasized light and openness, creating the perfect backdrop for the diversity of the retail and cultural offering.
With this project, Maison Wider achieved a level of technical sophistication never before experienced. The passageways and bridges corresponding to the shopping arcade are made of plywood bent into the shape of an airplane wing. The rounded lines of the wooden ceilings on the first two levels are set against the glass walls of the stores. The materials used are high quality and easy to maintain. Interior pillars are clad in black circular sheet metal, as are the rest of the interior facades other than the retail areas.
