The Théâtre de Beaulieu, an emblematic venue for culture in French-speaking Switzerland, has undergone a major renovation that has enhanced the walnut tree in its new spaces. The project, orchestrated by Fehlmann Architectes SA, aimed to modernize the theater while respecting its historical heritage. The Wider teams played a crucial role in this transformation, being responsible for the cladding, interior doors and restaurant fittings.

The use of walnut, particularly in the foyer areas, adds a warm, elegant touch to the theater. A highlight of the renovation is the spectacular foyer ceiling, made of vertical strips of walnut, which adds visual depth and sophistication to the circulation spaces.

Chantiers Magazine underlines the importance of the technical skills required for this project, describing the new Théâtre de Beaulieu as one of the most beautiful and, without question, the largest theater in Switzerland.
