Job description
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will actively contribute to structuring and maturing purchasing practices in a technical, project-based, and multi-stakeholder environment. You will be involved in a context where purchasing practices, tools, and processes are progressively being strengthened, playing a concrete role in securing suppliers, improving performance, and managing risks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, structure, and consolidate current and future supplier panels, in Switzerland and Europe, in order to strengthen partnerships and secure supplies.
- Coordinate and centralize needs with project managers and other departments, bringing structure, clarity, and a procurement approach adapted to operational realities
- Analyze needs, challenge requests, and identify optimization levers in terms of cost, quality, time, service, and risks.
- Contribute to the progressive implementation of more structured purchasing practices, adapted to a changing environment.
Profile
- Proven experience in purchasing within an industrial, technical, or project environment, ideally in the wood sector.
- Ability to structure a purchasing perimeter, to advance topics autonomously, and to evolve in a changing environment
- Excellent negotiation, influence, and coordination skills, with an approach combining assertiveness, pragmatism, and diplomacy.
- Good understanding of cost, quality, timeline, service, and risk issues
- Analytical mindset, curiosity, rigor, business acumen, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems, common purchasing tools, and excellent Excel skills
- Fluent French; German and/or Italian are a plus
