Ecology and
eco-responsibility
Maison Wider is deeply committed to promoting ecology and eco-responsibility through its operations and products. Here's how we put this commitment into practice.
In short, La Maison Wider is committed to playing a central role in promoting sustainable and eco-responsible practices in the interior design sector. We are committed to the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. In addition, we are committed to training and educating our employees to adopt eco-responsible thinking at every stage of their work.
Social responsibility
Since 2015 we have been audited annually by ECOVADIS a CSR rating organization across 21 criteria covering the environment, fair labor practices, ethical business practices and supply chain responding to the UNO Global Compact. We are also a member of the Global Compact Network (Switzerland & Liechtenstein), whose mission is in line with the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are committed to respecting human and labor rights, protecting the environment and fighting corruption in all its forms.
During a campaign in 2023, Maison Wider teamed up with Almighty Tree to plant trees in Switzerland and around the world to diversify forests with tree species adapted to climate change.
Sustainable Materials Sourcing
For several years now, we have been sourcing FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood, a certification which guarantees that the wood comes from forests managed in a sustainable and responsible manner.
Certified and Compliant Products
We offer a complete range of certified products that comply with construction standards in Switzerland and abroad, ensuring compliance in terms of safety and energy efficiency.
For our projects abroad, we collaborate with the UL organization, an international label that guarantees the compliance of some of our production lines with UL standard requirements (quality and safety) applicable in the USA and Canada.
Our furniture components are CE, UR, CARB2 (for air quality) and REACH certified.
Ecological footprint
We are aware of today's environmental challenges and are committed to constantly improving our ecological footprint. This includes adopting sustainable practices in our production processes, reducing waste, and promoting the responsible use of resources.
We actively support the movement towards greener construction by encouraging the use of environmentally-friendly materials by designers, architects and building owners.
We offer our customers a department specializing in the reuse of materials to minimize the ecological footprint of their projects and promote environmental sustainability.

Our responsibility
A growing worldwide movement is promoting the greening of the construction sector by encouraging designers, architects and building owners to use environmentally-friendly materials.
Maison Wider took the first step some years ago by sourcing FSC-certified sustainable wood. This form of "green certification" for forest management covers the main raw material of our production: wood. In order to comply with the growing demands of our customers, the Wider Group supplies a complete range of certified products that meet construction standards both in Switzerland and abroad, covering all components of our furniture. We are aware that much remains to be done, but we are striving to improve our ecological footprint and respect the agreements and principles to which we have committed ourselves as an eco-responsible company.
